Planets - The Cologne Team

The following has been created preliminarily to help in the setting up of communication with the various subprojects and work packages in which Cologne is involved. In due course it will develop into the "people" section of the Cologne Planets home page.
Additional staff, particularly on the level of student assistants, will be connected to the core team defined here later.

Overall structure

To create a homogeneous, well integrated and stable team, we have built the project group in such a way, that all the major players have 50 % positions and are expected to work in parallel towards their PhD. Theses topics have been chosen in such a way, that the team as a whole will work in the area of information abstraction, individual thesis subjects closely related to their roles within the project.

The following groups are defined by skills shared within the group; they do not map 1:1 to work packages. Individual involvement in the respective work packages is not completely clear yet, indicated preliminarily, however.
